Caddx Vista / Nebula Troubleshooting Guide

Caddx Vista / Nebula Troubleshooting Guide

If you have any issues with your Caddx Vista Digital FPV system, this guide will help you to narrow down the source of the fault.

Poor range with Caddx Vista

If you have poor range or weak signal with your Caddx vista the first thing to check is that the u.fl antenna is connected correctly on your vista air unit.  Also make sure that the u.fl antenna shield is secure and holding it in place.
Its also a good idea to make sure your antennas on your DJI goggles are the same polarisation as that used on your vista.  By default the stock antenna you get with the DJI goggles and the stock antenna on the Caddx vista is LHCP.

No video feed on Dji FPV goggles

This issue is abit more complex to troubleshoot but here are a few things to check.
  1. Make sure you have the latest firmware on both your Caddx Vista and DJI FPV goggles - use the DJI Assistant 2 App here
  2. Make sure you have paired both the DJI goggles and Caddx vista to one another - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nptTbbWKMZs&feature=emb_title
  3. Ensure the Caddx vista is connected correctly according to the pinout

For troubleshooting, its best if you only connect the Red Power and Black Power ground wire, and provide power to the unit to turn it on.  Then see if you get and video on your goggles.  Assuming you do, you can then continue to troubleshoot other things such as UART
  1. Check the coaxial cable between the vista and the camera.  Look for any visual damage, or pinched wires as sometimes this can be damaged and cause a problem.  If this has been damaged we sell replacement coax cables here
  2. If you are not getting any OSD information, double check that the UART cables are connected correctly on your flight controller, and that the flight controller is configured correctly on the correct UART port (enable MSP in betaflight)
If you have checked the above, please can you create a support ticket with us and include some photos/videos showing your issue and we will be happy to help
