Happymodel Mobula6

Happymodel Mobula6

Hi there!

If you're here, you're likely having issues with your Mobula6 VTX. Below are a few pointers from a support thread of ours which helped to resolve this issue for a number of our customers in the past.

Firstly, make sure that you're not set to PIT mode (effectively disabling the VTX) or "0mW" output power. You can check this in the Betaflight configurator or, if you have it set up for your model, the SmartAudio menu, or in telemetry in some cases.

Secondly, try to re-set the firmware settings with the "diff' and/or firmware files available from Happymodel directly here: http://www.happymodel.cn/index.php/2022/02/23/elrsf4-2g4-v3-1-flight-controller-firmware-and-default-factory-diff/
NOTE: This is for the ELRS Mobula6 only, please check Happymodel's website for the correct page for your specific Happymodel Mobula or similar Happymodel Model HERE to avoid incompatible firmware or settings issues!

The next thing to check is the antenna and connection - is there any visible damage or points of concern? Does the antenna appear seated well and is it mounted as clear as possible of other electronics, in a roughly upright position? Do you have any other compatible antennas to test with? Check as many of these as possible before moving on. Be careful handling delicate connections or components to avoid worsening the problem! If you are not confident in what you are doing, stop - in that case, it's best and safest to ask for advice or help before proceeding!

Finally, FOR THE MOBULA6 ONLY try to set the VTX table below, and see if the issue persists when set to the highest output power. Other VTX Tables can typically be found in the "diff" file for your specific whoop, if you have a different model.

The VTX's on these whoops can be delicate -  if the drone has been powered and unmoving for more than a few minutes at any time, it is possible that the VTX was damaged. If none of the above suggestions work, it may be worth reaching out to Happymodel's support directly at the following email address; info@happymodel.cn , as they will be able to further try to diagnose the issue and may be able to assist if it is determined that your model has a faulty VTX. Manufacturers are often better placed to advise on technical problems due to their intimate knowledge of their own products, however, if they do advise that a replacement can be issued, you may wish to discuss this with the retailer before agreeing, as they can often help to facilitate the replacement or return / refund to speed the process up for you. Please note this is not legal advice and does not affect your rights - check your local laws and regulations if you have any concern about how best to proceed in your specific case.
