Receiver Installation Service

We can install receivers on our pre-built FPV drones (PNP) as part of our engineering service. This paid for service is subject to availability, so we recommend contacting us first to confirm that we can accommodate your request.  For more info, please see this page - https://www.unmannedtechshop.co.uk/product/engineering-drone-build-customisation-fee/

What We Offer:

  • Compatibility Check: We'll help you determine if the receiver you need is compatible with your existing radio and the drone you are purchasing.
  • Installation: We can professionally install a range of receivers, including FrSky, Crossfire, or ELRS, according to your specific requirements.
  • Expert Advice: Not sure which receiver you need? No worries! Our team is happy to advise you on the best option for your setup. Generally, we recommend the ELRS receiver for its reliability and range.

Using DJI FPV Air Units

If your drone is equipped with a DJI FPV Air Unit, or models like O3 or O4, you can use your DJI FPV remote controller directly. No additional receiver installation is needed for these configurations, making it a plug-and-play experience!

Receiver Options We Can Install:

  1. ELRS (ExpressLRS): Our recommended option for most setups due to its range, reliability, and growing community support.
  2. Crossfire: Ideal for long-range flights and pilots looking for robust signal performance in challenging environments.
  3. FrSky: A popular choice for those who already use FrSky radios.

How to Request a Receiver Installation

To request a receiver installation:

  2. Provide Details: Let us know which receiver you prefer or if you need advice on the best option.
  3. Engineering Fee: Note that an engineering fee will apply for this service. Our team will provide a quote based on the receiver type and installation requirements.
