If you are having issues with updating your DJI FPV air unit, or Caddx Vista Air Unit, this guide will help resolve some of the common issues we encounter with them
If your Air Unit gets stuck during a firmware update:
- Try to flash different USB cable / port on your PC.
- Ensure there's constant airflow or cooling over the vista air unit during the entire flashing process, as sometimes it can get too hot and overheat.
- Ensure you're using the latest DJI FPV Assistant app (you can download the latest from DJI's site)
- Reboot the PC and ensure the only open app is DJI FPV Assistant
- Try another PC for flashing
- Ensure the battery powering the vista/ DJI Air unit is fully charged
- In the case of the Caddx Vista Re-touch the solder points related to powering the vista, or try replace the power cables to ensure the unit is getting sufficient power.
- The last one is the weird one; if nothing else works, unplug the vista and leave in the fridge (or similar cooling method - the goal is to get the vista to be cold to the touch, but not freezing or showing any frost/condensation) for approx 10 mins. Then attempt to reflash using a known good cable, USB port, PC, and airflow - ensure DJI FPV assistant is the only app open on the PC.
