Unmanned Tech Returns and Refund Policy

Please contact us before returning an item

To ensure efficient processing, always contact us to obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number before sending back any items. Returns without an RMA may experience delays.

Types of Returns

Change of Mind Returns

If you are not happy about a product you have purchased, then it is possible to return it back to us as per our change of mind returns terms.  The item will need to be returned in new condition and undamaged. The packaging can be opened but the products can not be used and must include the undamaged packaging.  Any costs we will incur to bring the item back to resaleable condition will be deducted from your refund.    Please see our change of mind returns policy for instructions on how to generate an RMA label and more information about our returns process.

Faulty Goods Returns

If you believe your product is faulty, please contact us immediately and refrain from using the item any further, as any further usage may invalidate your warranty.  Any confirmed fault (after initial troubleshooting) with products reported within 30 days of you receiving your product entitles you to a refund for the product value.   After this date you are entitled to a repair/replacement up to 180 days after you receive a product.  Beyond this time, it is at the discretion of the product manufacturer warranty as to any repairs/replacements.  Please see our faulty product return policy for more information.  You will also find instructions on how to inititate a fualty product request on that page.

Consumable Item Returns

Consumable items that we sell (not limited to batteries) have a slightly different warranty.  You must contact us within 7 days of you receiving the item if you think it has any faults.  The items must not of been used.  After this date the item is considered used and any possible damage is not typically covered under warranty and we cannot accept returns for them.

International Returns

In general, our international customers are entitled to the same warranty and returns policy as our domestic customers, however there are some changed in terms of postage and other fees such as customs clearance etc... For full details please see our international returns policy document

Who Pays for Return Postage?

For the latest information please see our returns page and terms and conditions for the specifics.
But in brief, the key takeaways are:
  1. Change of mind returns
    1. you will be responsible for paying return shipping costs (If you use our prepaid shipping label, we will deduct the cost of this from your refund)
  2. Faulty item returns
    1. If you are in the UK we will send you a prepaid shipping label that you can use to return.  However, if you choose to use your own postage, we will not issue any refund for this.
    2. If you are outside the UK, we will not issue any prepaid shipping label, and will only offer a refund up to a certain amount (as stated on our international returns policy document)

How long will it take to process my return?

In general, it can take up to 14 days to process a return depending on the item and the return reason, and the number of returns we need to process.  Typically, our average return processing time is around 3 working days once a return arrives.   Returns are processed in batches so may not be processed the day they arrive. 

If a repair is required, this may take longer depending on when we can source required replacement parts.  If this takes an unreasonably long time, we will contact you to arrange a mutually agreeable solution.

How long will it take to get my refund?

Assuming your return is elidable for a refund, we will issue a refund within 14 days of receiving your return, although this is typically much faster.  Once the refund is issued the processing time will depend on the payment method you used:
  1. PayPal refunds are usually instant, but please note the funds are usually refunded back into your PayPal account itself.  So if you paid with a card via your PayPal account the funds are not always deposited back into your bank account.  You can however log into PayPal and then transfer the funds manually from PayPal back to your bank account.
  2. Credit Card refunds usually take around 1-5 business days to show in your bank account once we have issued it.  Please note that this time is dependent on your bank / card provider.  If it takes longer than 5 days, please contact us and your card provider (with details of the refund) so they can locate the funds.
  3. Bank Transfer refunds typically take 1-7 days to process which is dependent on your bank
