What Does Backorder Mean?

What Does Backorder Mean?

A backorder means that the item you want to order (or have ordered) that is temporarily out of stock. When we receive more stock of this item, we will then send the order out to you, usually within 2-3 weeks.
We offer backorders on some products so that you, as a customer, can guarantee to receive stock when we receive our next shipment in from the factory.   This is sometimes more convenient that waiting for an item to be restocked and then rushing to get the item ordered before it sells out.

How will I know if an item is on backorder

We try to make this as obvious as possible in a few ways:
  1. On the product page, instead of an add to cart button you will see a backorder button
  2. On the cart page, you will see the items that are currently on backorder with some extra text saying it is available on backorder
  3. During checkout you will see a notice along the top of the page explaining that your order includes backorder items.  Also the side minicart will show you the specific item that will be on backorder.

  4. You will receive an email once you place an order to confirm that one or more items in your order are on backorder.
  5. If we have an internal stock issue with stock due to unforeseen damage, then we will send you an email when we are preparing your order to inform you of this issue.

What if I want the other items shipped in my back order?

If you have not yet placed an order, simply place two orders on our website.  The first order for all the in stock items, and the second order for the backorder item.
If you already have an existing backorder that you have paid for, you can contact us to split ship your order, but on this occasion, you will be charged a second shipping fee (unless both shipments qualify for free delivery at the time).
