Frsky Receiver, Transmitter and Firmware Compatibility Guide

Frsky Receiver, Transmitter and Firmware Compatibility Guide

If you are struggling to understand what Frsky equipment is compatible with what, this table below will hopefully help clear some things up for you.  But before you get to the table here are some important notes:
  1. (OTX) means you need to be running the most recent version of OPEN-TX software running on your radio.
  2. Frsky compatible receivers and transmitters are not listed here, but on the specification for these products they will specify what protocol they run, all third party Frsky equipment runs ACCST V1.x firmware only.  We have a list of Frsky ACCST V1.x firmware here - Frsky ACCST V1 Firmware Downloads
  3. Items in Red are no longer in production, but are still available on the market.
  4. The firmwar on both your Transmitter and Receiver need to be the same in order for the devices to communicate.

Frsky Radio and Reciever Compatibility Tool

FrSky Receiver Compatibility Tool simplifies the often complicated task of selecting the right receiver for your setup. The expansive FrSky ecosystem offers a variety of receivers, making it challenging to identify the compatible ones for your specific configuration. Our compatibility tool demystifies this process.

By simply selecting your transmitter and any modules you may have, our tool will display the FrSky receivers compatible with your setup. But that's not all. It also outlines any special caveats associated with the receivers to guide your decision-making process. If you're using an external ACCESS mod, this feature becomes all the more important.

The FrSky Receiver Compatibility Tool stays abreast of the latest receivers in the market, encompassing the TANDEM, Archer, R9, RX, X, S, and D series receivers from FrSky's lineup. This also includes the new ArcherPlus series, which is designed to work with both ACCST and ACCESS right out of the box. Keep in mind, though, that the tool is tested exclusively on FrSky transmitters.
